The Story

In this first volume of The Abbey Chronicles, modern day monk Jean Moreau at the Abbey of Kervennec is in trouble. He’s obsessed with a beautiful woman from his past and he’s playing with fire. His past rival, now the power-hungry abbot, is reveling in Jean’s predicament. When the worst happens, Jean finds he needs to right himself — quickly. A Monk’s Way is the story of a man…and the soul journey he must make to get back to wholeness. In that process of rediscovery, Jean reveals to the reader his different routes to Awareness, the essential first step on the spiritual path. In so doing, the reader will find that Jean’s story serves as a spiritual primer – a guide for establishing a direct connection to the Divine, the essence of spirituality.

With this positive  and humbling exposé of his own failings, A Monk’s Way serves as a parable for modern times as Jean Moreau recounts his incredible story.  Jean Moreau tells his story to the reader while demonstrating methods through which the reader can find his or her own path to peace and Spirit.
